"Amazing place, so clean, every room had an en suite, huge and lovely! It was perfect for us as we were here for a long weekend but the closest pub is a 30-45 minute walk, there’s a big Tesco around a 20 minute drive away and you have to book taxis a few days in advance if you do want them, so if you’re planning on staying longer or going out a lot, bear that in mind. Overall amazing stay and we will be coming back!" - 50th birthday party January 2019 The Victoria & Albert Suite and Helena House.
October Family Holiday
We had a lovely stay in Helena House over the October half term. The accommodation had a large kitchen/diner, large living room and four bedrooms all with on-suite. Some of us (the men mainly) went fishing every morning and then early evening with some success.
The indoor pool was a perfect size for young children and our hot tub was ideal for watching the stars at night. Our 6 year old grandchild enjoyed the park area and the 9 year old grandson enjoyed going to the games room.
The quiz machine had spot the difference so this was good for all ages. It is ideal for a chill out relaxing break in a beautiful area.
We hope to visit again sometime soon.
We had a lovely weeks stay over half term in Helena House. The location is stunning, so quiet and the sunsets were amazing. The pool is really warm, the hot tub was a bonus. My 9 year old caught a couple of pretty perch in the lake so he was very happy.
We cycled the north Dorset trail way which was a 15 minute drive to get to.
We stayed from 5 - 8 October taking all the accommodation around The Victorian Barn. Both Penny & Claire welcomed us with a friendly and professional manner, also during the 10 months of preparation for my 50th Birthday Celebrations they always replied promptly to any enquiry I had .
The Indoor Pool hot tubs, sauna and Games room add to a wonderful complex and made a relaxing and fun environment.
Lovely cottage accommodation with well equipped Kitchen etc too . Well done
They also recommended a fabulous Chinese menu prepared by outside caterers, who served a party of 42 with wonderful food

Lulworth Cove is well worth a drive out to , also the beautiful countryside offers wonderful local walks . What a find and a great venue
This is a fabulous place in a beautiful countryside setting. The apartments (we were in the Byre) are simple yet stylish with plenty of room for a 4 person family and contain everything you need. The grounds are great for young families - a perfect pool, good playground and a lovely walk up and around the lakes. We'd love to come back – Stayed 27 – 31 August 2018
We stayed in Leopold House with 4 generations to accommodate...grandparents, teenager, young children and parents. The house gave us the space and privacy so we all enjoyed our stay.
The pool house is beautiful with a lovely little gym and sauna. Our personal hot tub was lush. The sunsets are amazing and the hosts are really lovely. Will definitely come back again. Thank you from Kate stayed 3 - 10 August 2018
The Hayloft is a Beautiful apartment in a beautiful setting. We loved our little getaway here. The pool was definitely a selling point for us, so clean and relaxed. We would definitely recommend for families. Thanks again for a great stay, Bella & Family 30 July - 3 August 2018
We loved the fact that we had lovely countryside but we had several day trips to Weymouth, Bournemouth etc to keep the children entertained. We made full use of the pool, it was just the right temperature, even for our disabled son, who normally finds the water too cold Fabulous find we would love to go back
Wonderful stay and would recommend to family and friends. Thank you stayed in Jasmine Cottage 27 July - 3 August 2018
The Stable great accommodation. Tea, coffee, sugar with a jug of fresh milk which was readily available by the host. The hot tub was on the patio and very private surrounded by Hedges and fencing. Our back garden overlooked the farms and it was very relaxing watching the cows grazing from the conservatory every morning whilst having breakfast. The lakes was full of wildlife from fishes to blue dragon flies, yellow butterflies and Canadian geese. There was a white barn owl we saw fly by at night and also a hawk we managed to get a picture of. The beds were comfortable and the sheets were crisp and clean. The towels were made up for when we got there with hand towels as well. The kitchen was as described full of cutlery and dishes. We used the gym and pool. There's a trampoline and outdoor slides for kids and a games room. Lots of parking. Walking trail in the countryside was blissful. There is a SPA village shop about 4 min drive away that sells lovely home baked bread.
Thanks for being a great host. We loved watching the cows grazing whilst having breakfast in the conservatory and the butterflies. It was very relaxing and peacefully quiet Caroline & family from Scotland stayed July 2018
We were a large group of 12 staying for a weekend hen do - the accommodation was PERFECT. We had a party room complete with bar, two kitchens and two living rooms. I stayed in the downstairs living room which converted into a bedroom thanks to two double sofa beds. In the July heat it was the perfect room as two sets of French doors out into the gardens allowed for a lovely breeze. We were also spoiled with our own hot tub and we were right next door to the pool house which housed a large pool complete with a shower and a sauna. There was also a lovely looking play area for children with swings and slides and a games house which we didn’t get to see up close but looked very accommodating. I chatted with the owner who couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful - she came over to tell us about a ladies night at the local pub (about a mile and a half away but a nice walk apparently) and let us coo over her dog :) The facility stands in some gorgeous countryside with cute villages only short drives away. We passed lots of stunning thatched cottages and riverside hamlets on the way in. The way the house is laid out is perfect for large family gatherings - you can section out the upstairs and downstairs if wanted and in our case the two kitchens meant that the mess from dinner downstairs the night before didn’t stop us cooking (and making a new mess!) in the upstaits kitchen for breakfast the next day. There are plenty of toilet facilities, a downstairs shower room serviced us sleeping in the front room and there was an upstairs bathroom plus on suites. I honestly wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this wonderful facility to anyone and plan a return trip as soon as possible!
This is a great place in Dorset, adults will find the place serene and beautiful. Kids will find the place fun and interesting. The hosts are great and helpful. The holiday home is clean and relaxing. It is an amazing quiet place a perfect getaway from the hustle of everyday life
Thank you for everything. We absolutely loved the place. We will have great memories of this trip!
