We are often asked about the location of The Victorian Barn and what it’s like to stay in a rural area, well the answer is ‘its wonderful!’

Being in Mid Dorset The Victorian Barn is pretty much accessible to all areas of Dorset and further afield like Somerset, Wiltshire, Devon and Hampshire.

The Victorian Barn is ‘away from it all’ and ‘in the sticks’, ‘a destination’ with beautiful countryside, clean air and accessed via single track roads, no pavements, no street lights, it’s a real adventure!

A great base for those looking for a walking or cycling break. There is also fishing onsite and of course the warm indoor pool and hot tubs to enjoy….

You can relax and unwind with friends and family and connect with nature. A very safe environment for the kids!

Google Maps is pretty accurate so we recommend using this to get around and Strava is also good for walking and cycling routes.

While you will not be able to just ‘pop to the shops’ there are some fantastic country pubs and restaurants within easy reach.
