Milton Abbey International Music Festival & Summer School 2014

Get ready for another music-packed week with Voces8 and finishing with Elgar's Dream of Gerontius!

Following the huge success of its first year, preparations for the 2014 Festival are well underway.

They are absolutely delighted to be welcoming VOCES8 back, who will again be working with groups and individuals as well as performing their own concert as part of the Festival week.

The focus work for the Festival Chorus will be Elgar's Dream of Gerontius, and will involve all course participants.

Each course will give a concert in its own right as well as opportunities to participate in chamber music and daily choral evensongs.

Some days offering Free Admission and some with a small charge.

Luke is Organist at Truro Cathedral and will perform a popular selection of organ works on the Abbey Organ

19:30 Voces8 - A Cappella Concert, Milton Abbey/NBT
Resident Artists Voces8 perform a concert of two contrasting halves: traditional choral works in the Abbey and modern arrangements in the New Barn Theatre

Zimbe!, Milton Abbey
Alexander L'estrange's fusion of African Music with Gospel and Jazz will be performed by the lively Festival Gospel Choir, together with professional Jazz Musicians.
