Queen Victoria & Prince Albert

Queen Victoria reigned over the United Kingdom for 64 years 1837-1901. Her marriage to Prince Albert brought nine children between 1840 and 1857

The Victorian Barn was originally built in 1849, well within the Victorian era.

The Victoria Suite - A 4* Penthouse apartment with 3 ensuite bedrooms and a further kind bedroom with private bathroom benefiting from a whirlpool bath was named after Queen Victoria herself.

The Albert Suite below the Victoria Suite - Was named after Queen Victoria’s beloved husband - Prince Albert.

The 3 large self catering apartments and houses sleeping up to 8 guests within 4 ensuite bedrooms are named in recognition of the children of Queen Victoria.

Helena - The 5th Child and 3rd Daughter of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert - Born 1846

Leopold - The 8th Child and 4th Son of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert - Born 1853

Beatrice - The 9th Child and 5th Daughter of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert - Born

The Granary, The Byre and The Hayloft are named after the original farming roots of The Victorian Barn and Dairy House Farm (formally Woolland Dairy Farm). The barn was a working dairy farm milking 150 cows until the year 2000 we felt is was important to keep an essence of the farming past.

The Granary = A Grain Store

The Hayloft = Hay storage area above the cow shed which is coincidently call The Byre.
